Why CRAVE?
Because I understand, it takes
Courage to
Reach out
And
Vulnerability to
Evolve (unfold, grow, develop, progress)
What are you craving in your life? What do you want more of? Peace, freedom, new perspectives, growth, healing, support, perhaps just movement out of stuck places. No matter what you are craving in your life, let's embark on this transformative journey together.
I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families heal and grow through life's challenges, heartaches, and hardships. I strive to create a safe and compassionate environment filled with opportunities to explore internal and relational dynamics. Together we look for ways to alleviate current symptoms (like anxiety and depression), while we address the underlying causes and contributing factors to your distress. Alleviating symptoms might make one feel better, however, alone that is not enough. Symptoms will return if the underlying systems that keep them in place are not address.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in the success of therapy. Next to that, the skill of the therapist to assess the needs of the client and apply a modality that fits the needs of the client. Transformational healing and growth doesn't simply come because a person has the "right tools" or the therapist uses "the right modality." It comes when good tools and evidence based modalities are utilized in the context of a relationship that opens them to new perspectives and healing processes that they can interact and experiment with beyond the therapy room. Think about it, a hammer and saw in the wrong hands is disastrous. A hammer and saw in the hands of a master garners the potential for masterpieces.

I draw from a variety of theories to both ground and inform my engagement in the therapeutic relationship and process. Some of these theories include:

For individuals: Trauma focused, EMDR, IFS, Polyvagal and Somatic Therapy, CBT, Narrative
For Couples: EFT, Gottman, Solution-Focused,
For Families: Contextual Family Therapy, Structural, and Bowen.

Drawing from these different modalities allows me the flexibility to offer personalized sessions that meet you where you are and promote healing and growth.
